Journalism has crumbled. Literally miles away from the attitudes of regular folks, much of the mainstream media generates groupthink, hysteria, and one-dimensional ways of thinking. Any art or media that isn’t “with the program” is banned or smeared. Legacy magazines have utterly failed in their duty to give people content that isn’t afflicted by crushing, dystopic ideologies.
We are a coalition of individuals assembled to stand against the shadow sweeping the Earth that threatens to rob us of truth, hope, and, most nightmarish of all—imagination. We publish stories and make content about internet culture, arcane lore, strange phenomena, preserving traditions, esoteric knowledge, youth culture, navigating modernity, and much more.
Everything we publish is free to read. In accordance with the principles of the early internet, there is and never will be a paywall for information on Countere.

We are a consortium of highly motivated, slightly autistic, dissident creatives who are dissatisfied with the status quo and want to create better things. If one of us falls, another will step up to take his or her place. We are legion. We are one. We are in your walls…
Where does Countere fall on the political spectrum?
We are 100% independent and are affiliated with no political party. We are highly dissatisfied by the status quo and are inspired by both the ancient past and the far future. We love all people and disavow hate in any form. We are also radical environmentalists.
